Group-size pricing for bus tours
Price bus tours by the size of the group.
Set a price for each group size and pick the vehicles that can run it. GridOps prices each whole-bus booking at the step that fits the group, and big groups are priced as more than one coach.
$40 per bus per month, with a 30-day free trial.
WHAT IT IS
GridOps gives bus and coach tour operators group-size pricing for whole-bus tours, on the same system and the same coaches as their charters.
It replaces the price worked out on a calculator for every private group, and the bookings turned away because every coach was out.
Add a row for each group size with its price and the vehicles that can run it. A group of 90 is priced as two coaches, and when every coach is out more than 7 days ahead, a row you switch on can still take the booking while you find the vehicle.

Seven moments of pricing a private bus tour. Step through them to see what changes.
Group-size pricing
The right price for every group
A private tour for 20 and a private tour for 90 shouldn’t cost the same. Group-size pricing sets each step once, and every whole-bus booking lands on the right one.
01
One price or by group size
Your choice, tour by tour.
Keep one price for the whole bus, or price it by group size.
Seat bookings keep one price per seat.
Ask for a deposit or full payment on whole-bus bookings.
Your tax rules apply to every tour booking.
02
A price for every group
One row per group size.
Set the largest group each row covers, and its price.
Pick the vehicle types that can run each row.
Add a photo for each row.
Type a group size to check what it pays before you save.
03
Bigger groups, more buses
Priced as more than one vehicle.
A group too big for your largest vehicle is priced as more than one.
Its row needs Sell without a confirmed vehicle switched on.
You assign every vehicle on the dispatch board.
Tours and charters share the same coaches, so nothing is sold twice.
04
Sell before you have the bus
Take the booking, then find the coach.
Switch on Sell without a confirmed vehicle, row by row.
It applies when the tour is more than 7 days away, a number you set.
Groups too big for one vehicle skip the day limit.
Unsourced bookings show in the dispatch action list and a daily email.
Where does group-size pricing fit?
Pricing is one part of selling a tour. The bookings land on your dispatch board and your fleet calendar.

Pricing
What does bus tour pricing software cost?
One price per bus, with group-size pricing, tours, departures and payments included. Shuttle and tour bookings paid online carry a 1.9% booking fee, billed monthly. The first 10 founding operators who join by December 31, 2026 pay $20 per bus and 0.9%, both locked for 3 years.
Questions operators ask about pricing bus tours
How does group-size pricing work?
Each row covers groups up to a size and has its own price. A whole-bus booking is priced at the smallest row that fits the group.
Does it apply to seat bookings?
No. Group-size pricing is for whole-bus bookings. Seats keep one price per seat.
What happens when a group is too big for one coach?
It’s priced as more than one vehicle. To take it, switch on Sell without a confirmed vehicle for that row. You assign the vehicles on the dispatch board.
Can I take a booking when every coach is out?
Yes, if you switch on Sell without a confirmed vehicle for that row and the tour is more than 7 days away. You choose how many days.
How do I know which bookings still need a coach?
They show as Unsourced in the dispatch action list, and a daily email lists them for the next 14 days.
What if a partner covers the trip?
Record the partner covering the vehicle on the booking, and it stops waiting for a vehicle.
Can I keep one simple price?
Yes. One price for the whole bus is the default. Switch any tour to group size when you’re ready.
Can a charter and a tour get the same coach?
No. Tours and charters share one pool of vehicles, so a coach booked for one can’t be sold to the other at the same time.
What counts as a bus?
Any vehicle that can be booked or dispatched counts as a bus.
Is there a fee on tour bookings?
Tours paid for online carry a 1.9% booking fee, billed monthly, or 0.9% for founding operators. Charters carry none, and Stripe charges its own card fee.
